Our Vision

Through our registry, we aim to support the growth of Pilates by designating professional statuses and providing a platform for studios, instructors, and practitioners to connect and thrive

Everything You Need to Build, or Find a Trusted Pilates Career in Canada

The Canadian Pilates Method Society (CPMS) provides a range of national services designed to strengthen, unify, and expand access to Pilates across Canada.

Our core offerings include:

National Registry

Connecting the entire Pilates ecosystem, the CPMS National Registry bridges the gap between professionals and the public. We offer a comprehensive map of Apprentices, Instructors, Practitioners, Educators, and Studios across the country. By categorizing experts by their specific approach, we ensure that every Canadian can access the exact style of Pilates they need with total confidence in their teacher’s credentials.

Annual Pilates Conference

Beginning in 2027, the CPMS Annual Conference will serve as Canada’s premier gathering for Pilates professionals. This landmark event is designed to foster education, collaboration, and community-building on a national scale, uniting practitioners from every province to advance the integrity of the method.

The CPMS is committed to nationwide inclusivity. Our Grants Program serves two critical needs: providing subsidized access for clients who require therapeutic care but face financial challenges, and offering equipment and operational support for facilitators in rural communities. By investing in underserved regions and individuals, we are building a more equitable and unified Pilates landscape.

Grants to support Growth
  • No National standard makes it hard for the public to know who's qualified and hard for professionals to prove it. The CPMS Registry fixes that. Our comprehensive National Registry connects apprentices, instructors, practitioners, educators, certifying bodies, studios, and clinics, by offering visibility, professional recognition, and easy access for the public to find Pilates services in their preferred approach.

  • Launching an annual CPMS Conference, beginning in 2027, which brings together professionals from across the country for education, collaboration, and community-building, alongside regional events throughout the year.

  • Financial assistance grants that support low-income individuals in accessing therapeutic and clinical Pilates, ensuring equitable opportunities for movement, rehabilitation, and wellness.

  • Development grants for facilitators and studios seeking to open or expand in rural and underserved communities, helping increase national access to quality Pilates education and programming.

Together, these services reflect the CPMS commitment to professionalism, accessibility, and the long-term growth of the Pilates Method throughout Canada

PAY it FORWARD!

At the Canadian Pilates Method Society (CPMS), we believe that access to rehabilitative Pilates should not depend on income. That’s why we’re raising $25,000 to fund Pilates rehabilitation grants for individuals from low-income communities who need movement-based care to heal but can’t afford it.
